  • 1952: British Prime Minister Winston Churchill announced that Britain had developed an atomic bomb.
  • 2010: Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has announce today plans to rehire 20,000 former Iraqi army  officers who served under former leader Saddam-Hussein.
