Libby graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations, Magna Cum Laude, in 2008. While at university, she was the director of promotions for the UF’s homecoming alumni events throughout the state of Florida and the director of the Post Gator Growl V.I.P Reception in 2006.

In 2007 and 2008, Libby worked in the public relations department of the Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art on the University of Florida campus. She also held the position of press secretary for the political campaign of a candidate running for City Commissioner in Gainesville. And as the director of sponsorship for the Zeta Tau Alpha Philanthropy, Libby helped raise $40,000 for breast cancer awareness and education in October 2007.

Libby completed a six week internship at ING MEDIA, a public relations and communications agency in London, in the summer of 2007. In 2008, Libby worked for ING MEDIA in London as an account executive on the consumer and media teams. Libby has developed media relations for clients in trade, local and national media, coordinated press briefings and product launches, created content and organized photography for company websites and implemented social media campaigns.

Libby has now moved home to Southwest Florida, where she lived for 18 years before attending UF, to work for Hillgate Communications.
